Andrew Krause

About Me

I am a Computer Science student with a Mathematics minor in my junior year at the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse. I have been completing independent learning to further develop my proficiency in Computer Science. I am seeking out internships to apply the knowledge I have acquired as well as learn new skills.

My hobbies include running, biking, playing basketball, spending time with family and friends, and hiking. I love being outside and discovering new, unique places. My interest in exploring nature is incorporated into the design of this website, which includes forest icons on the page.

My Skills

Java

I first began programming in Java when I created a mod for Minecraft in seventh grade. Since that time, I have used the language primarily for creating data structures.

C-Programming

I have been programming in C for about 2 years. The language has been useful in creating simulators as well as simple data structures such as linked lists.

LaTeX

I first began using LaTeX my freshman year of college to help formulate mathematical proofs. The program is useful for creating and formatting scientific documents.

Command Line

The command line is an essential skill for any programmer or developer. I have utilized the linux terminal frequently during my time learning programming.

HTML

I have just begun learning how to develop websites using HTML as the basic structure. This webpage itself is part of a project I created using both HTML and CSS.

CSS

I am in the process of furthering my understanding of CSS. The language is essential for styling webpages, and is an important component of my personal webpage.
